Court Rules For King Conservation, Denies Additional Fishing Time to Set Netters

August 1st, 2013

The court rules against Cook Inlet Fisherman’s Fund in lawsuit against ADF&G, stating “the court does not find that Fish & Game’s actions restricting set-gillnet fishing in the commercial fishery are arbitrary, capricious, inconsistent with Board regulations or in bad faith. The impact of a historically-low Kenai River king salmon run has been born by other users as well.”
