Judge upholds Cook Inlet belugas as endangered

A federal judge upholds the endangered species listing of Beluga in Cook Inlet, in an article from the Peninsula Clarion.

Lack of prey (salmon) abundance in the designated critical habitat area of the Northern District of Upper Cook Inlet is identified by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) as a primary threat to the long-term survival of Beluga in the inlet.
